About the School
Barishev Art School is changing it’s name to Scarborough Art School (SAS) and starting to build a new program from diversifying program Barishev Art Scholl has had.
Barishev Art School first opened its doors in 2001 to all those interested in understanding and creating art. The School was dedicated to offering instructive and educational art classes to kids, teens and adults. The school's program was designed to accommodate students of all ages with skill levels ranging from beginner to advanced.
At the Barishev Art School students were working in a creative, studio-like environment under the attentive instruction of professional artists. Small class sizes ensure that each student receives personal attention from the teacher. Students were taught the fundamental concepts of drawing and painting such as composition, perspective, dimension, shading, color theory and more. With instructional guidance, students were able to apply these concepts and use them to develop their own personal style in order to create original works of art.
The school's productive and inspiring atmosphere encouraged students to explore their imagination and express themselves creatively. With step-by-step instructions both experienced students and absolute beginners were able to increase their skill level and come to a deeper understanding of art.
We consider the Barishev Art School program was a success and we want to create bigger educational institution in art field on its base. The new Program, already under umbrella of Scarborough Art School, will include not only Visual Art education, but also will offer classes of Creative writing, Creative Writing and Illustration, Digital Photography, Fashion Design and maybe even more classes will be added in the future.
